Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when a learner uses the platform or enrols in a course.

1. About these Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the websites at shriguru.online and www.shriguru.online and their mobile and desktop applications (together, "the Platform"). The Platform operates under the brand name The ShriGuru Network and is owned and operated by Rudra Parihaar Raksha Centre, a sole proprietorship of Mr Vamanan Sesshadri, at 2nd Floor, New No. 105, South West Boag Road, T. Nagar, Chennai 600017, Tamil Nadu, India ("the Centre").

A person who creates an account, enrols in a course, or makes a payment on the Platform ("the Learner") agrees to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund and Cancellation Policy, the Pricing Policy, the Delivery Policy and the Disclaimer. A person who does not agree should not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

The Learner must be 18 years of age or older and legally able to enter into a contract.

3. Account

The Learner must give accurate details when registering and keep them up to date. Each account is for one person only. The Learner is responsible for keeping the password confidential and for all activity under the account. The Centre may ask for verification of identity where needed to protect an account.

4. Courses and access

The Platform offers recorded courses and live programmes. On successful payment, the Centre grants the Learner a limited, personal, non-transferable and non-commercial licence to view the course on the Platform for the access period shown on the course page at the time of purchase. The access period starts on the date of enrolment. When it ends, access to that course ends.

Courses are streamed through the Platform. Course material may not be downloaded unless the Platform itself provides a download. The Centre may limit the number of devices on which an account can be used.

5. Fees, taxes and payment

Fees are shown in Indian Rupees. Goods and Services Tax, where applicable, is charged as shown at checkout and on the invoice. Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. The Centre does not receive or store full card details. Enrolment is confirmed only when payment is successfully completed.

6. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds and cancellation are governed by the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Live programmes

Dates and times of live programmes are stated on the course page or communicated to enrolled Learners. The Centre may reschedule a session, or change its format or platform, where reasonably necessary. Learners must behave respectfully in live sessions. The Centre may remove a participant who disrupts a session.

8. Intellectual property and protection of content

All videos, audio, text, documents, images, course structures and other material on the Platform belong to the Centre or to ShriGuru Vamanan Sesshadri, and are protected by law. The Learner must not copy, record, screen-capture, download by any unauthorised means, share, publish, broadcast, sell, or otherwise make available any course material, in whole or in part, and must not share account access with any other person.

Course videos are protected by digital rights management. If the Centre reasonably finds that a Learner has broken this clause, it may suspend or close the account without refund and take legal action.

9. Acceptable use

The Learner must not misuse the Platform, attempt to bypass its security, use it for any unlawful purpose, or post abusive, defamatory or misleading content in any comment, chat or community feature.

10. Nature of the teachings

Courses on the Platform are educational. They present traditional Vedic, astrological, mantra and tantra knowledge and SHRIGURU's own understanding of it. No course guarantees any outcome. The Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.

11. Third-party services

The Platform runs on third-party services, including a learning platform provider, payment gateways and video-conferencing tools. The Centre is not responsible for interruptions caused by those services, but will make reasonable efforts to restore access.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Centre's total liability to a Learner in connection with a course is limited to the fee paid by that Learner for that course, and the Centre is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these Terms removes any right or remedy that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

13. Suspension and closure

The Centre may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms. A Learner may stop using the Platform at any time.

14. Changes

The Centre may update course content, fees and these Terms from time to time. A change in fees does not affect a purchase already completed. The current Terms are always those published on the Platform.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right a consumer has under law to approach another forum, the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.

16. Contact and grievances

Questions and complaints may be sent to support@shriguru.online or +91 98401 30156. The Grievance Officer's details are on the Contact Us page.
